Craftee Wenches is our one day fun felting side of Artybird Australia.
Our aim is to bring to you wonderful inspiration in how to use alpaca fibre and fleece, fabrics and embellishments in felt making. To have fun and to learn or build on your felting expertise is the focus of our one day workshops.
We felt with unprocessed (straight from shearing) alpaca fibre but often use it in combination with wool and fabric
We have completed our one-day fun workshops schedule for the next six months
Check out our Events page or Contact Cheryl for our next workshop

Each workshop requires a minimum of 4 people to make the day a great success and a maximum of 8. Everyone who comes to a Craftee Wenches workshop meets like-minded people so come on your own or get a group together for a special day out.
Craftee Wenches Felting Workshops: Learn the age old process of felting.
Our felting workshops are full of fun and great company. We run them in the straw-bale studio at Quilca Farm regularly throughout the year. This is a wonderful opportunity to take some 'me' time in the midst of your busy lifestyle. Many of our regulars say this is the only way they can concentrate on having fun without feeling guilty.
Everything is supplied - workshop materials, luscious lunch and refreshments for a standard cost of $145 per day (50% deposit is required when booking).
Note: specialised workshops like dyeing have an additional $20 materials fee
- Not only do you learn how to make felt from the raw fibres and fleece but you go home with a completed item, replete with country-style morning and afternoon tea and a sumptuous lunch. Meet the alpaca and see where your fibres all come from.
We ensure that our workshops are not overloaded so we can offer you a unique Quilca Farm and Craft-ee Wenches experience. This means that places are limited to a maximum of 8 people, so book early to avoid disappointment.
Work with unprocessed alpaca fibre and learn how this fibre is easily felted on its own and in combination with wool and fabrics to speed up the felting process (only takes approx. 20% of the effort that wool alone requires). Experience how to make the most of the unique and beautiful properties of the fibre. Learn how to use all qualities of fibre. Enjoy a bit of felting experimentation.
Join us at Quilca Farm, a working alpaca farm, at Early Road, Tanjil South, Victoria (just 10 minutes north of Moe and approx. 5 minutes west of Yallorn North)
Everything is supplied - all workshop materials, a full day of tuition and fun including morning and afternoon teas and a scrumptious lunch.
Meet the alpaca and go home with your own unique finished item.
